Although I am not a professional writer, I have written short stories and articles in local magazines. A few of them have been published in the weekend supplements of Malayala Manorama and Mangalam, two leading newspapers in Malayalam. I have also written the scripts of “Akshara Pooja” a short film on total literacy programme, “Koodarappakshikal” a tele serial in three episodes and “Ivalente Kamuki”, a feature film which was a box-office hit. When “Akshara Pooja” was telecast it created such a great sensation that the Cultural Department of the Kerala Government bought twelve copies of the film in 1985.
